چکیده
BackgroundThe Fontan physiology is characterized by a single functional systemic ventricle that reduces cardiac output adaptation and exercise capacity. Peripheral muscle pump crucial for venous return, resistance training of the peripheral muscles may be particularly beneficial function in these patients. This study explores feasibility program including safety effectiveness, maximal capacity, cardiorespiratory endurance, quality life population.MethodsTwelve patients (18-32 years old) with New-York Heart Association (NYHA) class 1-2 were recruited. The intervention was twelve weeks home-based three sessions per week supervised online physiotherapist. Pre- post- evaluations assessed lean body mass, segmental forces hand-held dynamometer, oxygen consumption (VO2max), cardiovascular leg endurance 1-minute-sit-to-stand test, 36-item Short-Form-Survey.Results11/12 participants completed 35/36 workouts, exceeding our 80% threshold completion. No adverse events reported. Leg strength increased significantly (knee extensors improved 22.8 ± Nm (17.7 %) (p=0.019)). Despite no change VO2max, time showed significant improvement 5.3 minutes (72%). Perceived physical condition evaluated self-perception scale significantly. There difference mass life.ConclusionIn this small group post-Fontan mild impairments, we describe structured, accessible, feasible seems safe improvements perceived condition.

Is Home-Based, High-Intensity Interval Training Cycling Feasible and Safe for Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis?
BACKGROUND Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disease affecting the knee joint of many middle-aged and older adults. As OA symptoms typically involve knee pain and stiffness, individuals with knee OA are often insufficiently physically active, have low levels of physical function, and are at increased risk of other comorbidities and reduced quality of life. While moderate-intensity con...

This study identified factors associated with exercise participation and adherence in a sample of 102 sedentary, functionally limited, community-dwelling adults aged 60 to 94 years who participated in a home-based resistance training program. Stepwise regression analyses revealed that baseline physical factors (i.e., higher levels of mobility, weaker muscle strength, and fewer numbers of new me...
